The logo was locked. Everything around it was wide open.
I pitched two original practical-effects worlds for large-format digital out-of-home and took both from first sketch to final composite. Both were selected for the award-winning campaign.

The brief: create an original world around a locked title treatment for large-format digital out-of-home.
Most of the campaign was created digitally. I went practical. I pitched two original worlds and took both from first sketch to final composite—storyboards, miniature fabrication, custom fluid effects, lighting, in-camera photography, editing and compositing. Both were selected for the award-winning campaign.
Concept & Storyboards
The worlds began on paper.
The title never changed. Everything around it did. Each pitch started as a plan for scale, flow, lighting and the exact place the practical world would meet the mark.

World 01
Wet Hot
Space Engine
Deluxe
Hot metal. Cold water.
Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979) was the spark: hot metal, vapor, water and grimy industrial machinery. I chased that same practical, wet feeling with a miniature engine core built from plexiglass, LEDs and model parts, then shaped the in-camera footage in composite until a tabletop machine felt ship-sized.

Result / Scale
Small engine.
Big billboard.
The tabletop build left the studio at a very different scale.
World 02
Secret
of the Ooze
Gravity did the animation.
Ghostbusters II slime and Temple of Doom miniatures set the course. I built a practical riverbed, mixed custom methylcellulose slime and let gravity do the animation—then lit the whole mess until it felt radioactive.

Result / Scale
Small river.
Big billboard.
A hand-built riverbed running across a building-sized screen.
The outcome
Two worlds pitched.
Both selected.
Both executions became part of the Logo Worlds campaign, which received Promax Gold for Typography and Clio Silver for Out of Home.
Built by hand. Shown at scale.
